Operational Resilience & Recovery Group

The Operational Resilience & Recovery Group is a structured twice a month psychotherapy group designed specifically for first responders, military personnel, veterans, dispatchers, corrections professionals, law enforcement, and other public safety professionals experiencing the impact of chronic stress, critical incidents, trauma exposure, and occupational burnout.

This group provides a confidential and supportive environment where participants can develop practical skills to improve emotional regulation, stress management, resilience, and overall psychological well-being. Using evidence-based interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based approaches, participants learn strategies to manage operational stress, reduce emotional reactivity, improve relationships, and strengthen coping skills both on and off duty.

Topics include stress and trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, sleep and recovery, communication and relationship challenges, managing anxiety and anger, building resilience, and reconnecting with personal values and purpose. Participants have opportunities to learn from others with similar experiences while developing individualized tools to support long-term wellness and recovery.

Format:
• Weekly 60-minute psychotherapy group
• Virtual, HIPAA-compliant platform
• Structured skills training and therapeutic processing
• Led by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• Out-of-network superbills available for potential insurance reimbursement

The goal of the group is to help participants build resilience, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and enhance overall functioning while navigating the unique demands of public safety and service professions.
